I had no idea identity theft was so prevalent. I also had no idea that I had made me such an easy target. Fortunately, I have not been targeted. Endnu.
Like many, online banking, you need both a credit and debit cards and pay by check. I thought that if I was careful prying eyes on the ATM that I was safe from any get my pin and steal my money. I guess I was wrong. I had never heard of the card readers before this opportunity thieves to steal both your credit card number and your pin. I had never known thieves could use my checking account info to raid den.
I However, knowledge of the various phishing scams out there, and I am careful online, but now I will be more careful. And I’m going to follow Scott Mitic advice and get a copy of my credit report ofte.
If you have a credit card, debit card, checking account or a computer in your home, you should read this book. I had no idea what I was letting myself in for. I bet you did not.
